Genki is an Attorney in the firm's Immigration, Corporate, and Real Estate practice areas. Genki advises corporations and individuals on various business immigration matters, working with foreign engineers, financial services professionals, and marketing and operations personnel in diverse business sectors. Genki is also experienced in the transfer of foreign executives, managers, and other key personnel to American subsidiaries and branch offices. Genki also serves as outside general counsel to several US companies, regularly advising management on employment, compliance, and contractual matters.

A native New Yorker, Genki began his career at global investment banks BNP Paribas and the Credit Suisse Group in New York City before relocating to Tokyo. In Tokyo, Genki worked for BNP Paribas Securities in their Japanese equity and derivatives group and subsequently at Nomura Instinet in its electronic trading group.

During law school, Genki served as a judicial extern for Acting Supreme Court Justice, Genine D. Edwards in Kings County where he researched and drafted decisions on a variety of matters, including Article 78 Proceedings, commercial landlord tenant disputes, and discovery motions. Genki also interned at the NYS Division of Human Rights where he researched and drafted decisions on employment discrimination cases and at the New York Courts Access to Justice Program where he assisted pro se litigants on consumer debt cases in Bronx County Civil Court.
